Put your process heat back to work.

Recovering energy starts with understanding where heat is released and where it is needed. FRIMONT evaluates sources, temperatures and demand to integrate heat pumps, vapor recompression or a combination of both.

01 · Heat recovery

Industrial heat pumps

Heat pumps raise the temperature of heat available from refrigeration, wastewater or processes so it can be reused for heating and hot water.

GEA standard units

We supply preconfigured GEA units, selected according to capacity, temperatures and the conditions at your installation.

Custom FRIMONT equipment

We design and build equipment to order with GEA compressors and FRIMONT engineering, tailored to the process and its integration into the plant.

02 · Mechanical vapor recompression

Recover the energy in your vapor

Mechanical vapor recompression (MVR) raises vapor pressure and temperature so it can be reused as a heating source. Applications include evaporation, concentration, distillation and crystallization.

Selection requires vapor flow, composition and pressure lift. We evaluate integration with heat exchangers, condensate systems, controls and plant utilities.

From waste heat to process steam

PILLER describes two alternatives: directly compress suitable process vapor, or transfer heat to a water cycle to generate steam and then compress it. The choice depends on the available source and the steam required.

03 · Thermal integration

Heat pumps + MVR

A hybrid solution combines heat recovery through a heat pump with vapor recompression. FRIMONT studies how to connect both stages to serve the different temperature levels of the process.

  2. Heat pump

    Raises the temperature level

  3. Steam generation + MVR
