The project
The Australis Dumestre plant, located in Natales in Chile's Magallanes region, processes salmon for international markets. Frimont participated in developing its refrigeration infrastructure for the product chilling and freezing stages.
The challenge
The project required engineering and supplying refrigeration equipment tailored to salmon processing requirements, along with associated electrical installations. The scope covered water chilling and subsequent freezing.
The solution
Frimont was involved from conceptual and detailed engineering through manufacturing, supply, and commissioning of the equipment under its scope. The project incorporated six ammonia compressors and was executed over twelve months, including technical service and support.
